1 Overview & Commitment

Welcome to Notifyed ("we," "our," or "us"). Notifyed is a community messaging and channel notification platform designed to connect individuals, groups, and businesses safely and reliably.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement and applicable privacy laws (including GDPR and CCPA). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and your rights over your data.

2 Information We Collect

We only collect data strictly necessary to provide real-time messaging, group interactions, and push notifications:

        Note on Device Permissions: Notifyed uses the standard Android Photo Picker. We do NOT request continuous background access to your media gallery, phone storage, microphone, or precise location.
      

3 Third-Party Service Providers

We work with vetted industry-standard infrastructure providers to deliver our core features securely:

Supabase (PostgreSQL & Authentication): Used for secure user authentication, token storage, and database persistence. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used exclusively to deliver real-time push notifications to your Android device when new messages are received.
Cloudinary: Used for secure cloud storage and delivery of user profile photos and chat media attachments.

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

4 User-Generated Content (UGC) & Safety

Notifyed features community chats, public channels, and direct messaging. To ensure a safe environment:

Zero Tolerance for Abuse: Hate speech, harassment, nudity, sexually explicit content, scams, and threats of violence are strictly prohibited.
In-App Reporting: Users can tap the options menu on any user profile, group, channel, or long-press any individual message to submit a report directly to our moderation team.
User Blocking: Users can block any abusive individual immediately from the user profile or chat settings. Blocked users cannot send you direct messages.
24-Hour Review: Our moderation team reviews reported content within 24 hours and takes immediate corrective action, including content removal and account termination.

5 Data Retention & Security

We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

We retain your personal information only for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the services of the Notifyed app.

6 Account & Data Deletion Request

In accordance with Google Play's Account Deletion Policy, users have the right to request permanent deletion of their account and all associated personal data.

What gets deleted when your account is removed:

Your profile (name, username, email, avatar, bio)
Your login credentials and authentication records
Your membership in private and public groups
Your FCM push notification tokens

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Instant)

Open Notifyed > Go to Profile > Scroll down and tap Delete Account > Confirm deletion.

Option 2: Web Deletion Request (Online Form)

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your account, submit the form below. We will verify and process your deletion request within 48 hours:

7 Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Notifyed is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we immediately delete this information from our servers.
